Evelyn Laiche White

Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 6, 2014.

A native and resident of Gonzales, Mrs. Evelyn passed away at 11:55 am on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital surrounded by family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband, Cliff White of Gonzales; daughters, Tina Lanoux and husband Luke Armand, Paula and husband Joey Babin, Lisa and husband Ty Burgess; step-son, Shane White; sisters, Gloria and husband Floyd Stelly, Lorraine Saltzman, Shirley Gautreau, Peggy and husband John Britton; brother, Stanley Laiche; sisters-in-law, Beverly Laiche and Lois Laiche; grandchildren, Chase Lanoux, Chelsea Burgess, Stormie White and Austin White; great grandchild, Damon Lanoux.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stelma Schexnayder and Burris Laiche; sister, Glendora “Glenny” White and husband Sonny White; brothers, John “JB” Laiche and Terry P. Laiche, Sr.; nephews, Greg Stelly and Chase Laiche.

Pallbearers are Luke Armand, Joey Babin, Ty Burgess, Mike Jumonville, Shane White and Chase Lanoux.

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the MICU unit of Our Lady of the Lake, especially Dr. Cherie and nurse Toby.
