

Everette J. Sharon, Jr or “EJ” as he was known, passed away peacefully at his home in St. Amant, on Friday, October 26th due to complications from a stroke that he had 5 years ago. He was 79 old and a native of Baton Rouge. He graduated from Redemptorist High School in 1957. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked for Monochem/Borden Chemicals for 38 years before retiring in 2000. He loved to work in his garden and also loved to fish. He was known for his quick wit and his infectious grin and was quite the storyteller. He never met a stranger. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Waynette, and sons Louis E. Sharon, Paul E. Sharon, Kerry Morgan, Michael Morgan and David “Tony” Sharon, and his daughter, Aimee S. Marchand and 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and his brother, Robert Gene Sharon and wife, Sue of Baker. Preceded in death by a son, Patrick Sharon.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 31st from 9 to 11 AM at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, La. with burial immediately following in Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge, La.
