Frances Mendoza

A native of Broussard and a resident of Gonzales, she passed away Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at age 76. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, James and Joanne Mendoza, David and Monica Mendoza, and Thomas and Carol Mendoza; brother, Paul Duhon; stepbrother, Husville Guilbeau Jr.; stepsister, Mae Guilbeau Pugh; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; a stepgreat-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, James D. "Jimmy" Mendoza; parents, Camille Duhon and Husville Guilbeau Sr.; and sister, Eva Marie Delcambre. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Monday, Jan. 31, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Gonzales, on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Gary Belsome, celebrant. Entombment to follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery, Gonzales.
