Geneva Marie Halker

Geneva Marie Halker passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the age of 79. She was a native and lifelong resident of Sorrento, Louisiana. Geneva is survived by her daughters, Joan Lambert and husband Scotty, Wanda Bourgeois and husband Greg; her beloved Eugene Voisin; grandchildren, Shannon Lambert and wife Erin, Ashley Rome and husband Patrick, Heather Abadie and husband Byron, Denny Bourgeois; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Nicholas Abadie, Addison and Avery Rome, and Anna Claire Lambert. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lewellyn Halker and her parents, Wilfred LeBlanc and Lucille Wakefield. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, September 15, 2014 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Sorrento from 8:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.
