

Gerald Nicholas Graham (Jay), age 76, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026. Born on January 17, 1950, in Marksville, Louisiana, Jay lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to his family, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.
Jay spent his career as a boilermaker at Ohmstede, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. When he was not working, he found his greatest enjoyment in hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Whether in the woods, on the water, or gathered with family and friends, Jay was happiest surrounded by the people and places he loved.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Patsy Bordelon Graham; his children, Kristi Ohmer and husband Jimmy, Greg Graham and wife Leigh Ann, and Michelle Borel and husband Chuck; his sisters, Barbara Graham, Linda Guidry and husband Patrick, Shelia Graham, and Patty Sistrunk and husband Russell; his grandchildren, Allison Martin and husband Matt, Madison Holifield and husband Garrett, Brittin Wicker and husband Ryan, Logan Graham Leake and husband Coleman, Blake Graham, Alyssa Mahaffey and husband Jacob, and Megan Lavigne; and his great-grandchildren, Brayden Martin, Tinley Holifield, Tristan Holifield, Riggs Holifield, Tripp Holifield, Avery Wicker, Matthew Wicker, Westin Leake, Bryar Mahaffey, and Barrett Mahaffey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, U.L. and Rita Dauzat Graham; his brothers, David Graham and Kenneth Graham; his granddaughters, Aimee Marie Braud and Gracie Ann Lavigne; and his great-grandson, Wren Holifield.
Jay will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love of family, his willingness to lend a helping hand, and the many memories made while enjoying the outdoors he cherished so much. His legacy lives on through the family he loved dearly and the countless lives he touched throughout his years.
Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, LA, on Wednesday, June 24th from 10am-1pm. Service will begin at 1pm, after service he will be laid to rest at Hope Haven Garden of Memory in Gonzales, LA. Pallbearers will be Blake Graham, Jimmy Ohmer, Chuck Borel, Ryan Wicker, Jacob Mahaffey, and Garrett Holifield. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Graham (son) and Brayden Martin (great-grandson).
