Gerald Paul Hebert, a native and resident of Gonzales, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the age of 83. He was a graduate of Gonzales High School and was always proud of having participated in the High School band. He worked for Louisiana Industrial Garment, the Morning Advocate and Delaune’s Danse Difference. Gerald is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Angelique and Gregg Gaudin, Gonzales; one grandson, Cole Michael Gaudin, Gonzales; one brother-in-law, Patrick Dixon, and two sisters-in-law, Cheryl Dixon and Pam Dixon and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla Anne Dixon Hebert; parents, Pierre V. Hebert and Ella Arceneaux Hebert; two brothers, Alton Hebert and Leo Guidry; and two sisters, Lena Hebert and Lela Gautreau. Pallbearers will be Cole Gaudin, Billy Guillory, Lyman Abadie, Melvin Hebert, Lloyd Hebert, Ronnie Hebert, Donnie Hebert and Cory Knox. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Guidry, Ronald Delouche, Earl Gautreau and Marcie Ramirez. Special thanks to the following who have helped care for him: Linda Gautreau, Cindy St. Romain, Carolyn Sholar, Crystal Trumble, Krystal Cole, Brenda Todd, Patricia Harris, Alima Harry, Taneka Banks and all of our friends and family members who have helped carry us along the way during this time. Visitation will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church in Gonzales on Friday, September 8, from 9am-11am with Mass of Christian Burial starting at 11 am. Burial will follow at Cornerview Cemetery and after the burial a gathering of family and friends at St. Mark's Activity Center.
