Geraldine R. Hughes

Geraldine Rouyea Hughes born on June 6, 1941 was a native and lifelong resident of Gonzales, LA, just weeks after his passing, she joined her loving husband of 61 years, Victor Hughes, on November 4, 2022. She was surrounded by her family as she fought her courageous battle with cancer. Cherishing memories of her love for faith, family, conversations, special recipes, and gardening are her daughter, Tara Hughes Burchfield and her husband, Chris Burchfield; grandson, Tyler Hughes Burchfield; step grandsons, Aaron and Brett Burchfield; brother, Gabe Rouyea; and beloved niece, Charae Rouyea McMorris. She is also rejoining in heaven her parents, A.J. and Elaine Rouyea; siblings, Mary, Marvin, and Ronnie Rouyea. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy., Gonzales, LA on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 11:00AM-12:00PM with services beginning at 12:00PM.
