Gerard Raymond Rizzo

Gerard Raymond Rizzo a resident of Prairieville and a native of New Orleans, La passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan 30, 2022 at the age of 63 years. Gerard was an Avid sports fan of The Saints. He never missed a game since they started up in 1967. Another love of his was Mardi-Gras. Gerard was a member of The Endymion Krewe for over 30 years. He was survived by his wife of 28 years Sara Johnson Rizzo; Step-daughter, Yolanda Schexnayder Tietgen and husband, Darin; Two grandchildren Camille and Drew Tietgen; Sisters, Sandra Allums and husband Bob, Dale Health, and Betsy Hottard and husband Steve. Gerard was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund Victor Rizzo Sr. and Laverne Anna Schnell Rizzo; brother, Edmund Victor Rizzo Jr.; infant daughter, Baby Rizzo and brother-in-law, Billy Health. A visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb 5, 2022 from 10 am until service at 12 pm at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, La. officiated by Fr. Jerry Martin.
