Glancia Hardy

Glancia was a proud veteran of the United States Army who served his country with honor. He was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to his family, his faith, and the land he loved. He found great joy in tending his garden, raising corn, potatoes, and a variety of crops to help provide for those he loved. He also enjoyed raising cattle and took pride in the simple rewards of farm life.

A devoted Christian, Glancia was one of the first members of Fundamental Baptist Church. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, and he faithfully attended church throughout the years. He cherished the fellowship of his church family and the opportunity to worship and serve the Lord.

Glancia leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through his family. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Nolan and Tammy Hardy, Dudley and Jerri Hardy, Barry and Cindy Hardy, and Michael and Tonya Hardy; his sister, Lois Devall; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 73 years, Joyce Hill Hardy; his parents, Jesse and Elvie Taylor Hardy; his brothers, Elliott “Pete” Harrell and Otis Hardy; his sister, Joyce Ballard; and his great-granddaughter, Lexis Martin.

Services for Glancia Hardy will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Fundamental Baptist Church, 24240 S. Frost Road, Livingston, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Fundamental Baptist Church Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Joyce. Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Hardy, Casey Hardy, Kaleb Hardy, Brady Hardy, Kyle Hardy, Seth Hardy, Laine Hardy, and Brian Hardy.

Though he will be deeply missed, Glancia's family finds comfort in the memories he leaves behind and in the example of faith, hard work, and love that he demonstrated throughout his life.
