Glenda C. Lanoux entered eternal peace on April 5, 2026, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, surrounded by her family. Born on July 5, 1948, in Moss Point, Mississippi, Glenda lived a life filled with creativity, grace, and love.
Many people knew Glenda through her remarkable talent with flowers. As the owner of The Flower Gallery in Hurley, Mississippi for many years, she poured her heart into every arrangement, brightening weddings, celebrations, and everyday lives. Later, she pursued a second career as a real estate agent and broker, helping others find homes with the same care and beauty she brought to her floral work. In 2003, Glenda found her true partner in life, Dennis Lanoux. Together they made their home in Gonzales, Louisiana, where her kindness, creativity, humor, and love of people continued to touch all who met her. Glenda’s greatest joys came from her family. Affectionately known as “Nanny” or “Mimi,” she was happiest when surrounded by loved ones—laughing, sharing stories, or simply being together. She also loved all things glittery and sparkly, shopping, sewing, crafting, visiting casinos, and treasure hunting at garage sales. Her creativity and zest for life were matched only by her warmth and generosity.
Glenda was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Tina Lanoux, and her parents, A. Coker and Bertice Mae Coker Lanoux. Those who will forever cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Dennis Lanoux; children, Robert “Robbie” (Rita) Dugan, Keyra (Mark) Naron, and Kris (Ramsay) Thomas; stepdaughters Paula Babin and Lisa (Ty) Burgess; siblings, Raye (Greg) Boyd, Faye Hammond, Brenda Kneale, and Andy Coker; grandchildren, Ashton (Kyle) Schexnayder, Neil (Tori) Naron, Tyler (Maggie) Dugan, Gillian Dugan, Nora Beth Thomas, Claire Thomas, Chelsea Burgess and Chase Lanoux; and great-grandchildren, Kruz and Stassi Schexnayder, Kohen and Chrislee Naron, and Evelyn Dugan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Highway 429, St. Amant, Louisiana, on Thursday, April 9, 2026, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Mausoleum. Serving as pallbearers will be Neil Naron, Tyler Dugan, Seth Boyd, Samuel Boyd, William Tilghman, and Stephan Tilghman.
Though Glenda’s hands are now at rest, the beauty she created and the love she gave will live on forever.
