He graduated from Vidalia High School in Vidalia LA (1968) and Northeast Louisiana University School of Business in Monroe LA (1981).
He was employed by Louisiana Machinery Co, Inc (Louisiana CAT) for 48 years and developed lasting friendships and family that existed until his death. He was the “go-to” man at work and at home.
Hardy was preceded in death by his father and mother, Hardy A. Hopkins Sr, and Elizabeth Rose Hopkins, and his sister, Edith Ann Hopkins.

Our thanks go to his family, friends, as well as his Louisiana CAT family for their prayers, support, and comfort. We loved him dearly but knowing so many others did as well is truly a blessing.
Thanks and gratitude are also extended to the ICU nurses and Dr Shafi Mohamed at Ochsner Medical Center for their tireless efforts on Hardy’s behalf and for their compassion for his family.
A family memorial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate memorials to the charity or church of your choice.
