

A native of Montrose, Arkansas, and a 38 year resident of Gonzales, he entered into rest on Friday, March 30, 2012, at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge, following a short illness. He was a member of the Montrose Baptist Church and worked 20 years for Payne & Keller prior to working his current job as a constructability engineer for Jacobs engineering for 20 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Cruse Brockwell; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Bill Schweitzer, of Denham Springs; two sons and daughter-in-law, Ferrell Gene Brockwell, of Brusly, and Harold Eugene Brockwell and Amy, of Texas; sister, LaWanda Evans, of Princeton; four grandchildren, Nicole and Britney Schweitzer, of Denham Springs, DeShana Goga, of Port Allen, and Tony Brockwell, of Gonzales; three greatgrandchildren; and a nephew, John Evans. Preceded in death by his parents, Ferrell Willis and Mable Powell Brockwell. A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Sunday, April 1, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, April 2, 2012, from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Mausoleum in Prairieville.
