Harold L. DuPree passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the age of 87, surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Bayou Jacques, LA and resident of Bunkie, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Kenner, a long-time resident of New Orleans, and Prairieville, LA. While living in New Orleans, he attended St. Dominic Catholic Church, where he was a Eucharistic Minister, homebound minister, host for RCIA, and member of the Knights of Columbus. In Prairieville he attended St. Mark Catholic Church, where he was a Eucharistic Minister, Homebound Minister, and assisted the ushers. Harold also attended Manresa Retreat for 30 years. Harold worked as an engineer with Delta Tank, Shell Oil, Roberts-Boze Inc., L’eau Claire Systems and later started his own businesses, Safety Systems Inc. and Kerrigan-Dupree Inc., where he retired in 2000. He travelled all over the world during his working years. Harold loved golfing and fishing. He was a die-hard LSU fan; win or lose, he was a fan. He loved his family and is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diane Oulliber DuPree of Prairieville; son, Kirk DuPree (Tena Greco) of Metairie; step-daughter, Natasha Fernandez Crousillac (Matthew) of Prairieville; granddaughter, Lynsey DuPree Stidham (Brad Stidham), Kristy DuPree Stansbury (Jeff); great-granddaughters Clara Stansbury, Avery Stidham and Emma Stidman; sister, Bobbie Nelson; and brother, Perry DuPree (Margaret). He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Dallas DuPree; mother, Leila Aqillard DuPree; daughter, Dawn DuPree Lewis; granddaughter, Kaylee Crousillac; brothers, Ronnie and Kenneth DuPree; sister, Wilda DuPree Molere; brother-in-law, Merle Nelson; and half-brother, J.C. DuPree. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial service at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy.
