Eddie was born in Peoria, IL on July 27, 1944 and went to be with Jesus on April 10, 2017 at the age of 72. Eddie grew up in Monroe, LA and graduated from Louisiana of Monroe with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management. Eddie and Jamie moved to Baton Rouge in January of 1972. Eddie worked as a chief estimator for Crump Construction, LD Smith Construction, and Picou Brothers Construction. Eddie loved playing golf at Gonzales Country Club. He attended yearly Golf Trips to Destin, FL with his close friends. During Christmas time, he was very involved with the Feed the Needy Program. He also loved spending time and playing board games with his grandchildren. Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Jamie Wilson; sons, Stewart Wilson, Dennis Wilson (Jenny); grandchildren, Kinleigh, Jace, and Emile; in-laws, Perry Aldridge and Janet Roark and numerous other family members. Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, William and Anne Wilson; sister, Susan Aldridge. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 10:00 am until Funeral Service at 12:30 pm. Officiated by Pastor Stephen Hebert. Interment will follow at 2:30 pm in The Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, LA.
