

A native of Slaughter and resident of Greensburg, he passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the age of 90. He served in the U.S. Navy as a machinist. He was a retired Dairy Farmer of more than 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Hattie G. Lockwood; daughters and sons-in-law, Janis and Harlan Poché, Patricia and Robert Brussack; brother and sister-in-law, Harvey and Dot Lockwood; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, David D. Lockwood, grandson, Ian Brussack; parents, Florence Kone and Henry Lockwood; sisters, Irma Fulkerson, Elaine Wilkerson, and Wilma Richmond. There will be a visitation at Carpenter’s Chapel Methodist Church, 41181 Hwy. 933, Prairieville, La. 70769 on Tuesday, February 28th from 10:00 a.m. until religious services at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in Oak Lane Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harlan Poché, Rodney Poché, Rob Anthony, Perry Templet, Charles Lockwood, and Butch Taylor. Honorary pallbearer will be Harvey Lockwood.
