Irene Marie Lee “Gammy” Gregoire peacefully transitioned from this life with family at her bedside on May 31, 2021 at the age of 83. She was a native of Sorrento and current resident of St. Amant since 1996. Irene was gifted with many talents throughout her life. As an expert seamstress, she sewed for her children as well as her family and friends. Irene had a love for fashion which led her to work at Janice LeBlanc’s Dress Shop. She then worked alongside her husband for 18 years at Reno’s Bait and Tackle and Seafood. Irene also had a love for flowers and enjoyed more than anything to work in her garden. With her “Green Thumb” she could make anything grow; anywhere. Irene is survived by the love of her life of 66 years Reno J. Gregoire, Sr., and her three children, Wanda Gregoire Singletary, Torey Gregoire Braud (Durel), and Reno J. Gregoire, Jr. (Hope). Survived by eight grandchildren, Reid Gregoire (Brandi), Bree’ S. Thompson (John), Ryan Gregoire (Misty), Brandi S. Lee (Joshua), Dustin Pugeau, Kaci B. Forman (Dan), Cody Braud (Ellen) and Ryleigh Gregoire; twenty great grandchildren; siblings Linda Lee Bourgeois (Maxine) and Brenda Lee LeBlanc; sisters-in-law, Elmire Hammerling and Viola Hoover. Preceded in death by her daughter Stacey Gregoire Pugeau; mother Agnes Lee Tamplain; father Joseph O’Neal Lee; brother Louis “J-Boy” Lee; and son-in-law Darrel P. Singletary. Pallbearers are Reid Gregoire, Ryan Gregoire, Dustin Pugeau, Cody Braud, Telly LeBlanc, Rhett Bourgeois, John Thompson and Todd Vicknair.
