Iris Joseph Hidalgo

Iris “Buster” Hidalgo, a retired Baton Rouge Fireman, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at the age of 65. Buster is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna Hidalgo; son, Eric Hidalgo (Heather); daughter, Brittany Hidalgo Wilson (Kerr); four grandchildren, Chloe and Brooke Hidalgo, Quentin and Briggs Wilson; one great-grandchild, Easton Martrain; Brother, Jerry Hidalgo; and sister, Donnie Simmons. He is preceded in death by his parents, Iris and Katy Hidalgo; brother, Bobby Hidalgo and sister, Helen Jensen. Buster was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandkids. He and Donna loved traveling and spent much of their time camping or on the beach. He will forever be remembered for his gracious spirit, always putting others before himself and his fun-loving personality.
