

James Mark Guerin, 86, a cherished native of Baton Rouge, LA, and esteemed resident of Prairieville, LA, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 and was reunited with the love of his life, Carol Ann Dupuy Guerin on what would’ve been her 81st birthday. James graduated from Redemptorist High School in 1957 and embarked on a distinguished career, beginning as a Foreman at Ethyl Corporation before transitioning into a role that truly captured his passion. For 25 years, he graced the world with his artistry as a master florist, earning renown within the community. Together with his beloved wife, he co-owned Guerin's Heart to Heart Florist, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those they served. Family was the cornerstone of James's life. He cherished every moment spent with his four children, 11 grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews. His devotion to his family was matched only by his love for his late wife and their shared endeavor in the floral business. James is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Ann Dupuy Guerin, his parents, Aline Langlois Guerin and Anthony Guerin, his sister, Marie Jeanne Guerin Mullen, and his brothers, Donald Guerin, Pat Guerin, and Alan Guerin. He is survived by his loving children, Michelle (Dan) Guerin Langlois, Jason (Kris Stein) Guerin, Mark Guerin, and Yvette (John) Guerin Steckler. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, commencing at 10:30am, with the Funeral Mass following at 12:30pm. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and hospice staff at Clarity Hospice for their compassionate care. Special thanks are also extended to James's niece and her husband, Debbie Mullen Bliek and William Bliek, for their unwavering love, support, and spiritual guidance.
