A retired U.S. Army military policeman with more than 21 years of active service, he passed away at his residence in Gonzales on Tuesday, June 21, 2011. He was 69 and a native of Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Gadys Gautreau Pavey; children, CSM James Christopher Coroy, Sherill Pavey Mullins and Eleanor Coroy Cannon; and grandchildren, Milton and Madelyn Cannon. Preceded in death by his parents, Richard O. and Mary Watson Pavey; and sister, Sue Fellmy. There will be a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Thursday, June 23, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home Friday, June 24, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Interment in Oak Lane Memorial Park Cemetery, Prairieville.
