Jaynes I. Gandy Jr.

Jaynes I. Gandy Jr. passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the age of 79. He has now joined his late wife, Angele Gandy, in their heavenly home. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Jaynes I. Gandy Sr. and Maude Walsh Gandy, his sister Kitty Gandy St. Pierre, his grandson Elliot Gandy and his father-in-law Clarence “Plucker” Schexnayder. He is survived by his only son Joel Gandy & daughter-in-law Susana and his mother-in-law Rose Mae Schexnayder.

Gandy was always a hardworking man who did everything he could to provide the best life for his family. He always enjoyed being outdoors, whether he was fishing, hunting, tending to his garden or just sitting on his back porch enjoying the beautiful sunset. Gandy never met a stranger and was always there to lend a helping hand to anybody in need. He will truly be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Convent, La. The visitation will begin at 9AM with a Mass at 11AM.
