Jean Louise Ferguson Hebert, 85, was born August 10, 1940, and passed away on July 5, 2026. She was a resident of Colyell, Louisiana and a native of Bayou Barbary, Louisiana. She was the wife of her beloved, late husband Leon P. Hebert. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Tinker) Watts; daughter-in law, Elizabeth “Betsy” Hebert; son, Darrin (Sherry) Hebert; and brother, Vernon “Peewee” Ferguson. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Amelia Bird, Caleb Oliphant, Whitney Dalgo, Olivia Rand, Katie Hebert, Traci Oliphant, Ronni Hebert, and Desha Hebert; and 18 great-grandchildren with one more on the way. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leon Hebert; sons, Calvin Hebert and Lonnie Hebert; daughter, Debbie Hebert; her mother and father Mary “Maude” and Doliver Ferguson; brothers, Julius Ferguson, Herman Ferguson, Alton Ferguson, and Gerald Ferguson; sister, Willie Mae Watts; daughter-in-law, Lynette Shaffett; and great-grandchild, Gabriel Teal. She worked as a seamstress and enjoyed quilting, sewing, crochet, baking and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Pine Grove Baptist Church 21949 LA-444, Livingston, LA. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Earl Watts, Marvin Wise, Charles Nickens, Gene Temple, Aaron Temple, Michael Bird and Honorary Pallbearer Vance Ferguson.
