Jeaneva Savoie Givens

Jane was called home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 21st, 2017. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, for she was truly one of those “rare gems” of this life.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, William Givens; her mom, Eva Savoie; her siblings, Julie Vallard and husband Mike, Larry Savoie and wife Pauline, Shelby Savoie, Enez McGee and husband Blue, Lionel Savoie and wife Erma, Ellen Savoie Plonsky and Cindy Savoie; Her children, Vanette Broussard and husband Micah, Shane Brown and wife Carolyn, Brad Brown, Dara L. Givens and Bradley, Shara L. Givens and Darrell;

Her grandchildren, Tyler Broussard, Koby Broussard, Winston Brown, Madeline Brown, Payton Brown, Lauren Brown, Hailey Brown, Braden Brown, Hannah Brown, Samara Mixon, Austin Vanderlick, Aden Morris, Enola Morris, Gavin Franz and Savanna Franz;

Her great-grandchildren, Brycin Blevins, Riley Blevins, Hunner Blevins and Zander Blevins.

She is proceded in death by her father, Elie Savoie, a grandson, Caleb J. Broussard and her best friend, Cindy Allen.

Jane loved camping, loving on her grandbabies and when she could do both at the same time, it was hard to beat. She was best known for her cooking, her kind heart and had recently found the pastime of adult coloring books.

The wake and funeral service will be one day only, as per Jane’s wishes, at Ourso Funeral Home at 13533 Airline Hwy. in Gonzales, La. on Wednesday, January 25th, from 2pm-6pm. A brief prayer service will be at 6pm. There will be no burial as the family has requested cremation.
