Jerolyn "Bud" G. Broussard

Jerolyn “Bud” Broussard, a retired millwright and resident of Galvez, died Sunday, June 9th, 2024 at the age of 80 surrounded by his family. Bud was a member of Little Prairie Baptist Church and Millwright Local No. 720. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Evon Broussard; daughter, Thelmalyn and her husband, Charlie Blakey from GA; son, Jerolyn Broussard Jr. from Baton Rouge; three sisters, Leatrice Neeley from CA, Kay and husband, Keith from WA, Yvonne and husband, Robert from OK; two brothers, Earl Broussard and Daniel Lavigne from Prairieville; six grandchildren, Chet, Chase and wife, Mariett, Bret Jr, Knox, Madison and Audrey; preceded in death by his parents, Cully Broussard and Dannie Stafford; son, Bret Broussard; sister, Marilyn Francingues; and brother, Larry Broussard. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy., Gonzales, LA, on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 5pm-8pm. Visitation will resume on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 9am until the service begins at 10am. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
