Jo Ann dedicated a fulfilling career to serving students with special needs at LeBlanc Special Services Center and as the founder of Island Enterprises.
She is survived by her sister, Marie (Elliser) Deslatte, loving family, and many dear relatives. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kristi Picou; father, Herman Elliser; and mother, Mary Inez (Cornett) Elliser.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Guitrau, Stephan Guitrau, Nathan Guitrau, Mark Estep, Dean Estep, Abe Guitrau, Jude Guitrau, and Mathis Guitrau.
Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Miller and Larry Cornett.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in French Settlement from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, followed by burial in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Head of Island.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to her devoted companion, Ronnie Miller, for his endless love and support, as well as to Beverly Broussard, Pam Sharp, Nikki Slade, and the staff of Compassus Palliative Care for their dedicated care and compassion.
