Joan Wolfe Marchand, a beautiful wife, a loving mother and a true friend to many, finished her journey on this earth and went to the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Air Force. Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Gonzales, beginning at 9 a.m. The Rev. Gary Belsome and the Rev. Phil Spano will celebrate a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Cornerview Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert James "Bobby" Marchand; parents, Martha and George Harbaugh; parents-in-law, Roy and Lydia Marchand; and brothers, Robert E. Wolfe and her twin, Roland "Sonny" Wolfe. Joan leaves behind her husband of 59 years, Roy Marchand Jr.; daughters, Lisa Lackey and husband Rory; Theresa Robbins and husband Troy; and sons and daughters in law, Scott Marchand; Todd Marchand, and wife Phyliss Gautreau; Rodney Marchand, and wife Sharon Hammonds; and Ronny Marchand. Joan has eight grandchildren, Davin Miller, Jennifer Robbins Cox, Stephanie Miller Cope, Taya Miller Parish, Shannon Robbins Rahm, Jeannine Robbins, Adam Marchand and Maria Marchand. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be, Ronny Marchand, Todd Marchand, Davin Miller, Rodney Marchand, Rory Lackey, Adam Marchand, Scott Marchand and Troy Robbins. Honorary pallbearers are Louis Stephens, Harold Mire, Donald Mansur, Wilmon Loupe and Robert E.
