

A native and resident of Gonzales, he passed away at his home on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012. He was 99 and a retired carpenter who loved hunting, gardening, and playing cards. He is survived by three sons, Harold Bourgeois and wife Gayle, Jerry Bourgeois, and Michael Bourgeois and wife Susan; stepdaughter, Gloria Bourgeois; 10 grandchildren, Patrick and Cody St. Pierre, Jeannene Bourgeois, James Leteff, Kevin Raysome, Lillian Lejeune, DeShae Gautreau, Craig and Todd Bourgeois, and Shannon Meng; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Clotilde Berteau Bourgeois; first wife, Louella LeBlanc Bourgeois; second wife, Mary Bourgeois; daughter, Joann St. Pierre; two brothers, Gussie and Percy Bourgeois; two sisters, Inez Rodriguez and Nell Lieux; and daughter-in-law, Pat Bourgeois. Visitation at St. Mark Catholic Church on Thursday, Feb. 2, from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jerry Young, celebrant. Burial in Hope Haven Gardens of Memory, Gonzales. Pallbearers will be Patrick St. Pierre, Cody St. Pierre, Craig Bourgeois, Todd Bourgeois, Spencer Gautreau, and Kevin Raysome.
