A resident of Prairieville and native of New Orleans, he died on Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 76. He retired from Bell South/AT&T. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy and was a naval reservist until 1988 and achieved the rank of senior chief. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carol Tricon Morris; daughter, Robin Smith and husband Jackie; son, Patrick J. Morris; grandchildren, Joel Peter Hickey, Logan Joseph Morris, Aden Kash Morris and Enola Love Morris; former son-in-law, Peter Hickey; former daughters-in-law, Dara Love Morris and Natasha Case Morris.
