Joyce Landry

Joyce attended Lutcher High School and devoted her life to her family as a loving homemaker.

Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing cards, and visiting the casino.

A woman of strong Catholic faith, Joyce attended weekly Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and was a member of the Altar/Rosary Society.

Joyce married Ronald R. “Ronnie” Landry on August 4, 1956, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Paulina, Louisiana. Together, they built a life centered around faith and family.

She is survived by her children, Kyle Landry (Darnell), Karen Millet (David), and Kevin Landry (Beth); grandchildren, Susan Leger, Ricky, Shane, Michael Millet, Amy Baker, Christopher, Steven , Mark Landry, and Michelle Dawson; and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Iris Poche; and brothers, Eddie Louque, Alvin Louque Jr., and Gary Louque.

Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald R. “Ronnie” Landry; her parents, Alvin Francis Louque Sr. and Felonise Uranie Lambert Louque; sisters, Elaine Breaud and Judith Dubose; and brothers, Francis Louque, Lynn Louque, and Harry Louque.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Joyce’s caregivers for the kindness, compassion, and devoted care they provided to her.

Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737, on August 28, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, 3475 N Sherwood Forest Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70814, on August 29, 2026, at 9:00 am.

Final resting place is St. Peter Catholic Church, 1550 LA-44, Reserve.
