Julie Lessard Michel

Julie Lessard Michel passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 at the age of 102. A loving wife and mother, strong in her faith and always said her Rosary. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alfred “Pobo” Michel; daughter, Audrey (Wilburn) Michel Wells; parents, Celeste Guidry Lessard and Edward Lessard; brothers, Bruce, Joseph, David, and Mitchel Lessard; and sister, Juliette Lessard Michel. She is survived by her children, Jimmie (Shirley) Michel, Johnny (Renee) Michel, and Mary (Tony) Bruno; sister in law, Genavie Lessard; 10 grandchildren, Jana Michel Sheets, Russ Michel, Scott Michel, Blake Michel, Ron Michel, Ricky Michel, Nate Michel, Todd Bruno, Trent Bruno, and Dirk Denham; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. She retired from the Gonzales Pants Factory as a final inspector, a member of the Senior Friends and one of the Pink Ladies at the Hospital, member of the Home Demonstration Club, Ladies of the Alter Society and a member of the Foxy Trotters Line Dance Group. She loved working in her yard and had beautiful flowers. She and her husband always enjoyed company, the coffee pot was always on. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation which will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, LA on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 9:30AM-11:30AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30AM. A committal service will follow at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
