

Karen Joy Pape passed away on Friday, January, 28, 2022 at the age of 73. She was a native of Cody, Wyoming and a resident of Gonzales, Louisiana. Karen graduated from a vocational college before becoming a florist at Four Seasons Florists in Baton Rouge, LA. Karen enjoyed drawing, painting, and creating flower arrangements but most of all spending time with family and friends.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Pape; daughter, Kimberly Whiteoak (Dominick Danna) and dog daughter, Lucy; son-in-law, Richard Whiteoak; sisters, Brenda Lavalley, Anita Winter, and Linda Moore from Kansas; Brother, Gaylen Moore of Texas; sister-in-laws, Lola Chaka and Iva Slack from Texas and Sue Pape; brother-in-law, Wayne Pape; grandchildren, Chase Whiteoak, Dominick Danna III, and grand-dog, Charlie; bonus children, Brenda Hebert, Carla Rushing, Lisa Babin, Randy Pape, and Jason Duncan. Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Mearl and Maxine Moore; brother, Tommy Moore; brother-in-law’s, Benjamin Pape, Jr., and Carl W. Pape; sister in law, Julia (Pat) Pape. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and “adopted” family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service, which will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA 70737. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. with a service to follow.
