

Kayla Ann Denham, born in Baton Rouge on September 7, 1992 passed away at the age of 24. She was a resident of Geismar. Kayla was a student at Delgado Community College and previously attended Southeastern Louisiana University and Louisiana State University. She pledged Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority at Southeastern University. Kayla was a 2011 graduate of Dutchtown High School.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, June 9, 2017 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales from 6PM – 9PM. On Saturday, June 10, 2017, visitation will continue at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville from 9:30M until mass of Christian burial at 10:30AM celebrated by Rev. Jerry Martin. Interment will follow at Serenity Oaks. Pallbearers will be Paran Lester F. LeBlanc, Dylan Tullier, Clay Curry, Seth Denham, Charles W. Lewis, Jr., Harrison Schmidt, Casey Braud and Mack Harger. Honorary pallbearers are Corey Braud, Dillon LeBlanc, Jaxon Kliebert and Drew Dipaola.
Kayla is survived by her parents Amy All Lewis (Bo) and Dewitt Denham (Holli); grandparents Sandra All and L. C. All, Jr., Charmaine Denham and Robert Denham (Opal); sisters Kimberly Lewis Robinson, Charlene Lewis Parker (Brian) and Gabbi Kliebert; brothers Seth Denham, Charles W. Lewis, Jr. (Jackie) and Jaxon Kliebert; aunts Angie Fontenot (Marvin), Angie Denham, Michelle Aston (Gregory), Shirley L. Henderson, Peggy Jackson and Sharon Green; uncle Sherman Green.
Preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents Lewis Charles, Sr. and Agnes All, Rose and Lester Villnerve, paternal great grandparents Mamie and Herschel Vineyard, Evelyn and Dewitt Denham, uncle Timothy All, great uncles Dallas Salsbury and Hardy Hanson and cousin Mark Salsbury.
Kayla is survived by her parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends, boyfriend Harrison Schmidt and her beloved chocolate lab Sami.
The family extends very special thanks to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Louisiana State Police.
