
"Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a teardrop." Kembra Ann Gordon, a native of Baton Rouge, passed away Friday, July 2, 2010, in Orange Beach, Ala. Kembra was a graduate of Lee High School and LSU. She was a former schoolteacher in Louisiana, Tennessee and Alabama. Her most recent employment was as assistant director of Bright Horizon's Childcare facility for Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Hoover, Ala. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, Wednesday, July 7, from 9 a.m. until memorial service at noon. A second memorial service will be at Lakeview United Methodist Church, Pelham, Ala., Saturday, July 10, at 11 a.m. No public burial will take place. Survived by her three daughters, Gabrielle Patrice Gordon, Courtney Elizabeth Gordon and Breanna Lee Gordon; former husband, John Gordon; mother, Marguerite Laurent Foor; father and his wife, Junius and Annie Albarez; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Jo and Joe Duncan and Becky and Steve Gibbs; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vincent and Christine Musso and Mariano and Kathy Musso; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Kembra was preceded in death by her daughters' grandparents, Noble A. Gordon and Dorthy "Dot" Gordon; maternal grandparents, Stephen and Marguerite Laurent; and paternal grandparents, Celestine and Rosa Albarez. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kembra Gordon Memorial Fund, Regions Bank, 2228 Pelham Parkway, Pelham, AL 35124.
