Kenneth “Kenny” F. McLean III passed away on August 15, 2022 at the age of 81. He is survived by his children; Gretchen Tircuit (Ken), Heather Marchand (Paul) and Ken McLean (Marie), Grandchildren; Leighane Haydel (Kyle), Joshua Tircuit (Aspen), Kayla Racca (Shay), Kandice Dencausse (Print), Kolby Marchand (Olivia), KJ McLean, Katie Cutrer (Rob) and Brandi O’Brien (Cody), Great-grandchildren; Kennedy and Addison Haydel, Morgan Landry and Hayden Tircuit, Race Racca, Printice, Weldom and Kadence Dencausse, Jude and Reagan Marchand, Skylar, Kenley and McKennon McLean and Rhyett and Bryker O’Brien and his brother Don McLean (Gay).
He is preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Brown McLean, his parents Kenneth and Harriett McLean and his siblings Susie McLean Roccaforte and Robert McLean and his in-law’s Rudolph and Vivian Brown.
Kenny was a hardworking man, he retired from Local 1098 after working many years at Vulcan. He was one of the founding members of the Hog Island Hunting Club. He also was one of the founders of the Prairieville Volunteer Fire Department. He was always a kind hearted person who would help anybody out. Paw Paw Kenny always looked forward to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren coming over for his famous snack time. His family was his world and he will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Night Wake at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 5pm till 8pm. The visitation will continue on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 10am till the time of service at 12 Noon. The burial will follow at Prairieville Community Cemetery. Those honored to serve as a pallbearer will be Joshua Tircuit, Kolby Marchand, Kyle Haydel, William “Print” Dencausse, Shay Racca and Race Racca.
