I was sorry to hear our your fathers passing today.  From all of the entries in the guest book, I could tell he was a very talented man and a great historian and story teller.  Such a loving man, he always remembered his neighbors and in true southern fashion shared his garden and his life stories!  Sounds a lot like my dad and I am sure you will miss him as I much as I miss my dad.

 We are saddened to hear that Mr. Kearney passed away.  My very first memories of him were when I was a young child and visiting the hardware store with my Dad.  Mr. Kearny was so full of energy and eager to share his latest invention. I even recall that when my grandfather came to visit us from Kentucky we would make a trip to the store, even when we did not need any hardware.  My grandfather had a love for Safes and inventing gadgets too, but most of all swapping old Navy stories.  
During the building the beautiful cypress home, we would stop by to see the progress and he would always take time to show Lanaux and I the array of special features that he was crafting.  Those visits were more like tours of a special landmark. Memorable tours that were led by a passionate man that talked fast with a Cajun-French accent. 
Often now when we visit Dutchtown we will take the long way just to pass by the house and marvel at his creation over and over again. Heaven now has a very special angel that is a “Master Inventor”.

Terrell, When I was invited to those wonderful crawfish boils at your house, it was always your Dad I gravitated to. I loved talking to him and listening to that wonderful accent. So sorry to hear of his passing. He'll be missed by many.

We are so sorry to hear Mr. Kerney's passing. He would stop by our shop ever so often just to shoot the breeze. We always looked forward to his words of wisdom with a bit of history included. May all of your wonderful memories somehow ease the pain in your hearts.

We are so sorry for your loss. Mr. Kearney and dad (Perry Sheets)were good friends.  Our prayers are with you and your family.

I knew Kerney all of my life, but it was the last 8 years that Carol and I enjoyed him so much.  He would come by our new home in St. Amant and tell us what was on the property years ago.  He also named our home saying that a house is not a home until you name it.  He always wore that little green hat and would bring something with him when he came, either and orange from his tree or something else.  Carol called him her elfe.  His stories were always wonderful and we would talk for hours.

Our prayers are with the Ms Alice and the family.  I know you will miss him as we do.  We can not be there with you, we are our of state and this makes us very sad.

Dear Mrs. Alice:  I will always remember Mr. Kerney for his zest for life, his interesting stories and his beautiful wood work. I am thinking of you and your family and praying that God will comfort you in your time of sorrow.  I love seeing this picture of him as it reminds me of when we first met several years ago. Mrs. Alice, Terrell, Beth and Monica;
  I am so sorry of Mr. Kerney's passing.  He was such a sweet man.  I looked forward to him coming by and feeding the dogs.   He always had some special story to tell me.  I am so lucky to have been given the opportunity to meet such an interesting person.  And I can imagine the things he is building up in heaven for our Heavenly Father.
