Larry Jude Couvillion

Larry Jude Couvillion, age 84 of Prairieville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. He was born on September 30, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He spent much of his life in Ascension Parish, where he built a reputation as a barber who genuinely enjoyed serving his community. Larry also proudly served his country as a member of the Army National Guard. Larry was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Agnes Marchese Couvillion, with whom he shared 60 years of love, faith, and family with. Together they built a legacy centered on hard work, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those they loved.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes M. Couvillion; his two children, Darren Couvillion (Donna) and Lesley Couvillion; His sister, Brenda Couvillion Thibodaux; and two brothers, Melvin Couvillion and Darryl Couvillion. Grandchildren; Nichole (Tyler) Langley, Derek Couvillion (Harlie), Anna Noel, Lyla Noel, as well as three step-grandchildren Drake Theriot, Kade Theriot, and Kole Theriot. He was blessed with five great-grandchildren: Braxton Couvillion, Brexlie Russo, Averie Langley, Adley Langley, and Boston Couvillion, all of whom brought him great joy.

He is preceded in death by his parents Vance and Thelma Couvillion, Daughter Elizabeth Couvillion Noel.

A visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 15208 Highway 73, Prairieville, Louisiana 70769, on July 13, 2026, beginning at 9:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the same location on July 13, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, 37577 Duplessis Rd., Prairieville, LA, on July 13, 2026.

Larry will be remembered for his quiet strength, dedication to his family, and the friendships he formed throughout his life. His legacy of love, service, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.

Serving as pallbearers will be Derek Couvillion, Kole Theriot, Drake Theriot, Eric Couvillion, Darryl Couvillion, and Kade Theriot.
