Funeral services will be held for Larry “Jimmy” Thomas on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, 11:00 am at Gonzales Baptist Temple. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Wednesday starting at 9:00 am until services begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memories in Gonzales. Everyone who knew Larry, or by many loved ones, Jimmy, knew what kind of man he was and knew what he enjoyed doing on this earth. We know he would really like everyone to know what he is doing now. Jimmy is now humbled before our all mighty God and his soul is full of the love of his Lord and family. His is having a great reunion with his son Brian, father, mother and all have gone before him. Jimmy is patiently waiting now for all of his loved ones and friends. We know that he would like everyone to read Romans 10:9-10 9. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Mr. Thomas was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Havard Thomas; son, Larry Alan Thomas and wife Misty; daughters, Terri Thomas Lupo, Ann Brewer and husband Pernel; sister, Phyllis Wilson and husband Rick; brothers, Harold Thomas, Raymond Thomas, Byron Thomas, Bobby Thomas; grandchildren, Larry Jean Thomas, Abby Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Joe Lupo and numerous nieces and nephews.
