Laura Seymour Opperman, age 94 and a resident of Gonzales, LA passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her children, Linda Gaudin, Theresa Robert (Al), Joe Opperman (Nina), Chris Opperman, and Jill Michel (Matt); grandchildren, Jessica Dunn (Darron), Justin Gaudin, Al Robert Jr. (Monica), Jamie Robert (Aja Gair), Joel Robert, Randi Gubbins (Carlos), Joey Opperman, Christy Tureau (Brian), Ethan Michel, Mia Michel, and Annalyce Michel and 14 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by her siblings, Sr. Annette Seymour RSM, Linda Foster (Steve), Connie Robert (Pete), Jan Hess (Buddy), Martha Seymour and Sidney Seymour (Liz), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Opperman; parents, Edward and Jamie Parker Seymour; granddaughter, Rachael Thomassee and brothers, Jimmy Seymour and Leo Seymour. Services will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 7348 Main St, Sorrento, LA 70778. Visitation will be from 11 am until the Mass of Christian burial at 1 pm. Burial to follow in Prairieville, Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Joe Opperman, Joey Opperman, Al Robert Jr., Joel Robert, Justin Gaudin, and Ethan Michel.
