Laura Ann Roddy

Born on December 6, 1963, in Independence, Louisiana, Laura was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy in life was caring for her family and creating a loving home. She cherished spending time with those she loved most and found happiness in simple pleasures such as drinking coffee, enjoying the outdoors, visiting the beach, and making lasting memories with family and friends.

She truly was the heart and soul of our family. A constant source of love, wisdom and encouragement. I can still feel the warmth of her hugs and her infectious laugh even now. And she had a smile that was so radiant and lit up every room she entered.

Laura is survived by her children, Jeffery Roddy, Elvis Roddy, Tyler Roddy, Kylee Roddy and Cody Roddy. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Oaklyn Bergeron, and Owen Bergeron. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Mike Roddy, and her sister, Donna Bourque, along with numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Destiny Stafford and parents, Dianne and Mitchell Roddy.

Laura’s warmth, kindness, and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737, on June 15, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm.
