Laura Nell Lambert Schexnayder

A native of French Settlement and resident of Gonzales, she passed away on October 11, 2012. Lauranell was an avid collector of Magnolias, and a member of the Holy Rosary Ladies Auxillary for 30 years. She is survived by her beloved spouse: Bernard Babin; four sons and daughters-in-law: Ernest Adam Schexnayder, Percy Joseph Schexnayder Jr and Leslie, Brian Joseph Schexnayder and Marlene, Ryan Joseph Schexnayder and Tammy; two brothers: James Lambert, Willie Paul Lambert; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a great grandson on the way. Preceded in death by husband: Percy Schexnayder Sr.; parents: Nevie Millet Lambert and Adam Lambert; son: Jeffery Schexnayder; sisters: Nucy Kling, Romona Lanoux; brothers: AJ Lambert, Valmond Lambert. Services will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will resume at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 8:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Lanoux, Mike Jumonville, Johnny Parfait, Raymond LeBlanc, Benny Babin, and Ricky Villar.
