Lee Ella Marie Frederic, a caring wife, mother, and grandmother left to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 5th, 2022 at the wise age of 103. She made her transition peacefully surrounded by her family.
She was born to Leo and Elodie Savoy Lambert on November 30, 1918 in St. Amant, LA. She shared her childhood life with nine siblings. Lee Ella married Daniel Joseph Frederic Sr. on May 26, 1936. Together, they had four children: Geraldine Letulle (Emile Sr.), Mae Doris Tullier (John Sr.), Carolyn Meche (Floyd), and Daniel Frederic Jr. (Emell). She was known as “Maw” to twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and twenty-four great-great-grandchildren.
Lee Ella loved spending time in the kitchen cooking a crawfish stew, baking fig cookies, or making one of her infamous cheesecakes for her family to enjoy. She was well known around town as the “Avon Lady'' where she made many lifelong friends, and she never missed an opportunity for a casino trip. Lee was also a dog breeder of poodles and chihuahuas. She enjoyed her quilting and rosary groups, and she was a member of the Catholic Daughters for over thirty years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Elodie Lambert; her husband, Daniel Frederic Sr.; her daughter, Mae Doris Tullier; her daughter-in-law, Emell Vampran Frederic; her son-in-laws, John Tullier Sr. and Floyd Meche; her grandson, Emile Letulle Jr.; her granddaughters, Dana Tullier Coleman and Angie Rene’ Frederic; her great-grandson, Clevis Cormier Jr.; her brothers Doyle, Dudley and Leo Lambert Jr.; her sisters, LeOla Villar, Geneva Little, and Gaynell Fryoux.
Lee is survived by her daughters Geraldine Letulle (Emile Sr.) and Carolyn Meche; son Danny Frederic; granddaughters Taryn Rouillier (Jeffrey Sr.), Scharmion Tullier Pape, Kim Meche Prejean (Dewayne), Lisa Meche Cormier (Clevis Sr.), and Darla Meche; grandsons Michael Letulle (Lisa), John Tullier Jr., Michel Meche and Travis Frederic (Elise); her sisters Rita Scholz, Hermine O’Quinn, Claire Lortie; and numerous great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Hwy. 429, St. Amant, LA, on January – from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A mass of Christian burial to be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Vu at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Michael Letulle, Michel Meche, Travis Frederic, Jeffrey Rouillier Jr., Nicolas Pape, and Michael Christoff Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Timothy Pape Jr. and Jeffrey Rouillier Sr. The family would like to thank Dr. Shawn Hall, the staff at Home Instead and the staff of New Century Hospice.
