

Leonard Antoine Zeringue Jr. fondly known as “Buster” passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025 at the age of 71. He was born in White Castle, grew up in Donaldsonville and was a longtime resident of Galvez. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Rhonda Cousin Zeringue; his two sons, Heath Elias Zeringue and Daniel Joseph Zeringue; his grandson Anthony Camille Zeringue; his siblings, Carole Raborn (Jim), Phyllis Martin (Robert “Bob”), Richard “Dickie” Zeringue (Kelly) and Larry “Chris” Zeringue (Toni) and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his two infant sons, Daniel Joshua and Anthony Michael; his parents Leonard & Iva “Peggy” Zeringue; his sister Paula Haik and his nephew Jake Zeringue.
Buster was always a hard worker and dedicated family man. He worked at Glennwood Sugarmill for over 20 years and then went to ISC as a truck driver where he eventually retired. He was very involved with the Royal Rangers at his church for many years. Buster loved watching old boxing matches and Raider football. As a child he enjoyed playing cowboy and riding his bike. As a young man he also enjoyed riding dirt bikes. He loved spending time with his family, especially going on family vacations. He is now home with the Lord listening to all his favorite old gospel songs. Buster will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA 70737. The visitation will begin at 9AM until the time of service at 11AM. Buster will be laid to rest at Serenity Oaks Memorial Garden in Prairieville, LA.
