Lillie M Brown

Lillie Berteau Brown, a lifelong native and resident of Prairieville, passed away at the age of 90 on Saturday, June 25th at Old Jefferson Community Center surrounded by family. Lillie is survived by her sons, Dudley Brown and wife, Sandra; Ray Brown and wife, Liz; one brother, Freddie Berteau; grandchildren, Michelle Bourque and husband, Myles; Monica Langlois and husband, Luke; Brandon Brown and wife, Stacey; Melissa Verdigets and husband, Jason; Raejean Walston and husband, John, and Ellen Brown; 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. Lillie is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dudley Brown; Parents; Jesse and Eleanor Melancon Berteau, sisters, Lucille and Mildred; brothers, Soley, Gerald, Pierre, Lawless, and Milton. Visitation will be held at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 28th, from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am celebrated by Rev. Jerry Martin. Interment will follow at Prairieville Community Cemetery. Brandon Brown, Mason Brown, Myles Bourque, Connor Bourque, Lindsay Laird, Luke Langlois, Jason Verdigets, and Harrison Verdigets will serve as pallbearers.
