Lita Mae LaPorte Haggard

A native of Breaux Bridge and resident of Gonzales, she passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012. She was 66 years old. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Eddie Holladay; son and daughter-in-law, David Frank III and Lori Haggard; three sisters, Mildred Taylor, Melba Hebert, and Shirley Michel; brother, Abel LaPorte, and two grandchildren, Chloe Haggard and Dominique Holladay. Preceded in death by her husband, David Frank Haggard Jr.; parents, Joseph and Lydia Roy LaPorte; and two brothers, Frank and Cyprien LaPorte. A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m., conducted by Deacon Bill Blair. Entombment will follow in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Mausoleum, Prairieville. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Yadlapati and staff, and the staff of St. Joseph Hospice and the Carpenter House.
