

Mark Craig Veazey, 68, was born in Baton Rouge on December 31st, 1956. Passed away November 15th, 2025, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. A loving husband, a proud father and an even prouder pawpaw.
Mark was a dedicated employee of Emerson Process management for 45 years before he retired.
Mark had many passions which included his family, fishing, cooking, watching Christmas movies on the hallmark channel and his LSU Tigers. Mark is known for his kindness, cooking jambalayas and sitting around a fire.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Rhonda Veazey; daughter, Kayla Miller (Davin); son, Houston Veazey (Lauren); eight grandchildren, Ethan, DJ, Savhanna, Noah, Landon, Kendall, Kellen and Maeve.
He is preceded in death by this parents, Jimmie and Paula Veazey; brother, Jimmie Butch Veazey; grandson, Zane Ross Babin; grandparents, Barney and Julia Gaudin, Andre' and Eunice Veazey and numerous aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers are Houston Veazey, Mark Braud, Davin Miller, Ethan Babin, Nicky Veazey, and Denny Blount. Honorary: Noah Babin, Landon Veazey and DJ Miller.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 6:00-8:00PM at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA, 70737.
A second visitation will take place on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 10:00-11:00AM at New River Baptist Church, located at 45270 LA-429, Saint Amant, LA 70774. Service will begin at 11:00AM.
The final resting place will be Hope Haven Garden of Memory, located at 604 E. Hwy 30, Gonzales.
