He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Baham; and his son, Bryan McDonald; 3 grandchildren, Bryan Dakota McDonald, Lily Bryanne McDonald, and Marlee Elizabeth Baham; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vernal and Lois Ardoin, Margie and Elvis Willie, Arnette Ardoin, Ethel McDonald, and Vickie McDonald; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Harriet McDonald; parents, Ernest and Katie Carpenter McDonald; brothers Merle McDonald, Harry McDonald, and infant Arthur McDonald; and infant sister, Lenora McDonald. He is also preceded in death by his father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Howard and Cleo Ardoin; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Howard and Bobbie Ardoin and Robert Ardoin.
The Services for Marlin will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Colyell Baptist Church, 19524 Hwy 42, Livingston, La. Visitation will be from 10 am until the funeral service at 11 am, conducted by Pastor Erik Willie. He will be buried next to his wife in Colyell Community Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Lil Bryan McDonald, Jay McDonald, Dewayne McDonald, Mark Willie, Elvis Willie, and Clint Ardoin. Arrangements by Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, La.
