Mary Griffith Hutchison

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016, 11:00 am at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales for Mrs. Mary Griffith Hutchison with interment to follow at Cornerview Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday morning beginning at 8:00 am and will continue until service time at 11:00 am. Mrs. Hutchison was a native of Williston, FL born in Miami, and a resident of Baton Rouge. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and was known for her superb cooking and baking. She is survived by her daughters, Suzan Rolland and husband Mike, Lisa Abrams and husband Keith; sons, Bruce Hutchison and wife Carol, Steve Hutchison, David Hutchison and wife Sage; sister, Polly McCraney; grandchildren, Mary Hutchison, Matthew Hutchison, Jacob Hutchison, Stephanie Hutchison, Jonah Worthy, A. Mallory Hoke, Allison Hutchison, Emily Hutchison, Callie Melugin; thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Hutchison; parents, Marvin and Callie Griffith; sister, Sue Dreher and brothers, Cotton Griffith and Kenneth Griffith. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mrs. Hutchison’s name to either Baton Rouge Hospice or Baton Rouge Food Bank.
