

A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, November 24, 2012. Mae Mae was a devout catholic, loving wife, and caring mother, and she touched the lives of many people during her 89 years here on earth. She was a true child of God in the way she lived her life. How appropriate that her last days were spent at home with her family at her side, where she could be seen chopping pecans and snapping green beans on the eve of Thanksgiving, her favorite holiday. She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Talbot and husband Bob and Helen Toca; six sons and five daughters-in-law, Reed Loeffler, Richard and Ronnye Loeffler, Randall and Beth Loeffler, Ross and Mary Loeffler, Russell and Anne Loeffler, and Roy and Shannon Loeffler; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Wilma and J.H. McAdams; brother, Gray McAdams; sister, Helen Hargis; husband and father of her children, Jim Loeffler; and husband Msgt Homer Pittman (retired US Army). Visitation will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Baton Rouge on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m., conducted by Rev. Tom Duhé. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Port Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary. Pallbearers will be Jordan Talbot, Marshall Loeffler, Bradley Loeffler, Michael Loeffler, Joseph Loeffler, Stephen Loeffler, and Alan Michael Hartman. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Loeffler, Trey Stockstill, and Jace Toca.
