Naomi King Little

Naomi King Little passed away August 7, 2015, at the age of 92 at The Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing from complications of lung cancer. Naomi, known to her family and friends as “Noncie”, was born August 16, 1922, in Hope Villa, LA and was a long time resident of Baton Rouge. She was a very special lady who despite many trials never lost her zest for life and infectious smile.

She is survived by her children, Donna Little Aldridge and husband, John, and William “Willie” Little and wife, Marcia; her grandchildren, Ken Aldridge and wife, Lindsey, Melissa Cretini and husband, Joe, and Benjamin “Ben” Little and wife, Wendy; step granddaughter, Charity Watts; great grandchildren, Anders and Adele Aldridge, Sarah, Caleb, Rachel and Micah Cretini, and Angele and Alexander Little. She is survived by one sister in law, Jessie Roberts. She is, also, survived by many very special cousins, nieces and nephews and “great” nieces and nephews who all adored “Aunt Noncie”.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leon Little, Jr.; her parents, Winnie and Willie King; and her siblings, McVea, Alver, Miriam, and Winnie Vee.

A celebration of her life will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Sunday, August 9, 2015, with visitation from 10:00 am until funeral services at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Charles King, Mike King, Chan King, Billy King, Lonnie King and Larry Bullion.

Honorary pallbearers will be Willard Hamilton, Ken Aldridge, and Benjamin Little.

The family will be forever grateful for all of the love and support from neighbors, friends, and family.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gerald Miletello for his care and encouragement throughout the years. Also, a special thanks to Dr. Guido DeJesus and the entire staff at The Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing.
