
Funeral services will be held for Mr. Ned Crawford Goldston at 10:00 am, Friday, January 26, 2018 at First United Methodist Church of Gonzales. Visitation will take place on Thursday evening at Ourso Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Friday morning at First United Methodist Church starting at 9:00 am and continuing until services begin at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery. Mr. Goldston passed away on January 22, 2018 at his home. He was 93 years old. Mr. Goldston was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Karnes. He was a longtime Mason and active member of the First United Methodist Church. In the past, he was active in Boyscouts and was currently a member of the Transco Retiree Breakfast Club and the Red Stick Model A Club. Mr. Goldston is survived by his son, Kevin Goldston; daughter, Mary Leah Omdal and husband Rick; grandchildren, Melissa Lynn Barber Istre and husband Kevin, Harry W. Barber, IV; great-grandchildren, Mary Caroline Istre, Eliza Ann Istre and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Maida Hedgpeth Goldston; parents, John Goldston, Minnie McCutchen Goldston; brothers, Lester Goldston, Tom Goldston and sisters, Lorene Camp and Janet Tidwell.
