Nelson Loupe Jr

Nelson Loupe Jr., 74, a resident of Head of Island, La. passed away on Wednesday, Aug 10, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was a Graduate of French Settlement High School and retired from Shell Chemical in Geismar. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Guitreau Loupe; daughters, Mary Loupe Day (Justin), and Jessica Loupe Picou (Kevin); son, Robert Paul Loupe; brother, Jerry Loupe; 6 grandchildren, Stephen Clark, Zachary Pierce, Clara Taylor, and Sarah Taylor, Raeanne Loupe, and Nathaniel Loupe,; 2 great grandchildren, Aubrey Holton, Emma Loupe. Nelson was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson Sr. and Jessie Jones Loupe; sister, Mary Ann Loupe Martin; and brother, Jimmy Loupe. Services for Nelson will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church Hwy 16, French Settlement, La. on Aug 15, 2022 at 9 am with Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm. He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery on Old Ferry Rd, Maurepas, La. Arrangements by Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales.
